CHANGE Health Alberta is now hiring for

CHANGE Adventure Camp Counsellors

These are contract, seasonal positions.

CHANGE Adventure Camp Counsellors are enthusiastic and responsible people who are ready to work collaboratively to provide exceptional summer camp experiences. You’ll work alongside a team of local health professionals, chefs and community partners to help develop life skills among youth age 6-12 years old. Opportunity for research and evaluation will be provided. 

CHANGE Adventure Camps are offered as day camps throughout Edmonton and Parkland County as well as overnight camps at the CHANGE Centre in Magnolia, AB. CHANGE Adventure Camp Counsellors will have the opportunity to work with both the day and overnight programs.

Contract Dates: June 16 – September 1, 2023
Wage Range: $20-$25 per hour based on a 35-hour work week
Day Camp Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am – 4:30pm
Overnight Camp Hours: Monday 8am – Friday – 5pm. Accommodations and food will be provided for the week at the CHANGE Centre.

Training will begin on June 16-18 at the CHANGE Centre in Magnolia, Alberta, followed by two weeks of program preparation and planning. 

CHANGE Health Alberta is looking for staff who are available for the entire duration of the contract, some flexibility with days off will be considered. 

Skills and Knowledge Required:

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Friendly, caring, responsible, engaging, punctual, and cooperative 
• Camp Counsellor, facilitator, experience with children an asset
• Experience in a health-related discipline an asset
• Current certification in First Aid and CPR
• Criminal record check with vulnerable sector search (can be obtain before starting)
